Full Keel Farm

Updated: Jun 16, 2019

A few years ago, Julia Keel and her husband decided to start a cut flower farm on the 1.44 acres that they call home in Fort White, Florida. With the help of years of agriculture education, they were able to make the farm what it is today. Full Keel Farm is a 12 bed project producing a range of flowers such as ranunculus, narcissus, snapdragons, anemones and Queen Anne’s lace. Keel distributes these flower in three ways: directly to florists, as bouquets in local stores, and partnering with another local farm. These methods of distribution give her the flexibility to take care of her 13-month-old son, Samuel and write her dissertation.
